A few weeks ago I walked in the door and saw a beautiful Japanese Orchid setting on the dining table. Tim had bought me flowers!
If you know Tim, you'd know he is NOT the flower giving type. In fact, earlier on in our dating relationship, he took a photo of some flowers and emailed it to me. That's how my thrifty (yet romantic) husband does flowers.
The night before the arrival of the Orchid Tim and I had talked about me going to Japan to visit my good friend Rachael who is living there with her husband Brad for a few years. (See their awesome blog here and Rachael's yummy food blog here.)
Tim got me the Orchid to cheer me up after a bad day. He told me that every time I look at the flowers, I can get excited about my trip. So...I'm going to JAPAN! I'm going the end of May and into April. I have my ticket and my Pass Port should be in the mail. I will be blogging daily so look forward to seeing some Japanese photos and hearing about my adventures with Brad and Rachael!

YAY! I can't WAIT for you to be here :) You are going to be able to get some amazing photos and I can't wait to see them. That orchid is gorgeous, by the way!
ReplyDeleteTim always tries to play the part of the curmudgeon when us guys are around, but we all know that when we leave he becomes a romantic, lovey-dovey sappy puddle of goo.
