First Senior of the Fall

Maria was my first senior portrait session of the fall season. It was a great shoot although we had to work around the weather a bit. We moved the session to later in the day due to some big storms. We met at Como Park and Conservatory. What a great place to shoot; we took some photos inside the conservatory and we took some outside in the beautiful, albeit windy, park. Maria is a beautiful senior with a big smile and a contagious laugh. Here are my favorites:

Thanks for a great shoot!

Anthony's One Year Session

Here are some photos from Anthony's one year session. He's the first baby to have gone through our "Baby's First Year" Package. In case you're curious as to what that is, or even if you're not, I'll tell you.

The Baby's First Year Package is a series of photo sessions that document your baby as it grows from birth to it's first birthday. We typically do newborn, six month, and one year sessions. Some parents have chosen to add a maternity session as well. It makes a great baby shower gift!

Anthony's parents chose Minneapolis as a backdrop for the session (a VERY popular place as of late). It was a fun shoot. Anthony took a bit of time to warm up to me again but he was very good. Here are some of my favorite images form the session:

It was so fun to watch him grow up over the last year and it went so fast! At this rate senior pictures and wedding photos are just around the corner!

A Stillwater Senior

These photos are from Charlie's senior session. Charlie is a Stillwater senior who wanted his photos taken in downtown Stillwater but didn't want the "typical" shots many of his classmates had done. That's were Tim and I come in. We had a great shoot with Charlie. We ended up chasing the light towards the end of the shoot thanks to daylight savings time. That was the bad news. The good news was that until it was gone, we had fantastic golden light.

Keep checking the blog because Charlie wants to schedule a second senior session where we can take some action shots of him with his skateboard!

Urban Chic

OK. I’m in Japan but first thing first, I promised my sister that I’d post some of the photos from her shoot we took last week. Being the beautiful sister of a photographer, Hannah has often had to be my model whether she liked it or not. This shoot was different. She’s graduating this spring and these were her senior photos. She wanted more of an urban feel. She wore a great floral print shirt she had found that afternoon at a thrift shop. She even got to wear one of her treasured hoodies for a few shots.

The shoot was a lot of fun because over the years she’s become more comfortable with me and my camera. We had a great time in Downtown St. Paul. Hannah is a beautiful woman. Congrats on Graduation and here are a few photos Hannah! I love you.
